Faith Is For Everyone And Love Still Wins

People should get to fall in love with whoever they please, no matter the ethnicity, gender, or religion. And faith has absolutely nothing to do with that because love is for everyone.

We live in a world full of different diversities, culture, and religion. It’s hard to figure out who you are and what you want without being influenced into becoming someone you aren’t sure you want to be in the first place. Growing up, it’s hard enough to decide what course to take up in college and finding out that just because something is your passion, doesn’t mean it has to be your path in college. You find out who you really are after you lose yourself along the way and that’s okay. But in the same context, it’s hard to find out what you believe in.

It’s hard enough to find what God and what religion to follow without your parents dictating it or without society bashing you for believing in something or without your friends judging you. I get it, it really is hard, but never ever let the world brainwash you into thinking that believing in something makes you weak. There is strength in fighting for what you believe in, no matter what it is.

To whoever may be reading this, I know that this must be hard for you and that’s okay. I know you think that religion is supposed to be perfect, but I’m here to tell you that it’s not. God finds beauty in the broken and wounded, to give them hope. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, or transgender. It doesn’t matter if you believe in human rights or you’re a feminist. It doesn’t matter if you’re a virgin or if you’ve already had sex in the past or if you’ve had a one night stand. It doesn’t matter if you believe that love wins and that people should get to love whoever they want, no matter the gender or religion. Just because you believe in these things, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have a place in the Church. Ignore the people that say that you don’t. I believe that you do.

Whatever religion you may choose, I believe that people get to choose what they believe in without the world dictating what they get to do and what they don’t get to do. Quit believing the people, especially those that say that because you’re different and because you fall in love with the same gender, then it automatically means that you don’t deserve to be a child of God. I’m here to tell you that you aren’t broken and you don’t need to be ‘saved’ if you’re gay or if you’re not a virgin anymore or even if you’re a feminist because you are already whole in the first place.

Love never required restrictions.

Believing in something shouldn’t have any qualifications.
