JK Rowling, Piers Morgan, Jim Jeffries, And The Dishonest Hysteria Of The Anti-Trump Outrage Machine

Piers Morgan was told to “FUCK OFF” by comedian Jim Jefferies as a counter-argument for his (Morgan’s) criticism for America’s hysteria over Donald Trump. Piers Morgan, someone I never have found myself to agree with, in this case, is completely justified.

I am appalled by the collective outrage over Piers Morgan’s comments on Real Time with Bill Maher last Friday. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a clip of the interaction:

Piers Morgan was told to “FUCK OFF” by comedian Jim Jefferies as a counter-argument for his (Morgan’s) criticism for America’s hysteria over Donald Trump. Piers Morgan, someone I never have found myself to agree with, in this case, is completely justified.

If you disregard the headlines and actually listen to what he said, he highlights what I have been saying since the election. He addresses the U.S. ANTI-TRUMP hysteria as getting completely out of reason. Paraphrasing what he said, was that this “resistance” movement is moving on a path that is lacking substance and in some cases, compares Trump to Hitler, (which he said put in literal terms, is not only inaccurate but also offensive).

Piers Morgan was basically saying that we NEED to criticize Trump on what he does WRONG.

NOT JUST BECAUSE HE IS DONALD TRUMP.

The group-think of American society as of late has been focused solely on ANTI TRUMP rhetoric, lacking any praise for actual positive movements by Trump such as stopping the TPP, and his historic LGBT acknowledgment at the inauguration.

For the record, this post is IN NO WAY in support of Donald Trump. But instead, in support of free and rational thinking. When you grow in intellect, you start to see that everything is not just black and white. So just because Piers or I bash the anti-Trump hysteria, does not make us Trump supporters. It’s detaching from the HIVE-MIND that is the U.S. mainstream group-think complex.

I wouldn’t refer to this as “normalizing” Donald Trump either. Most people do not deny that he is in no way qualified to be our U.S. president. But he is the president now. Who do we blame for this? That’s another discussion. But he is president, nonetheless. Now, we have to fight for our values and not just fight the man. Otherwise, we’ll be on the losing side of history for our lack of identifying the source of our problems.

JK Rowling took to Twitter to bash Piers Morgan for expressing his thoughts on “Real Time”. She praised Jim Jeffries for telling Piers to “FUCK OFF”. She and her millions of followers then created a Twitter “troll” storm against Piers Morgan where tons of celebrities hopped on the bandwagon. And in turn, given that everyone and their mother loves the humanitarian Harry Potter author, of course she is perceived as the “winner” of this whole fiasco in every mainstream platform on the matter.

This is absurd. Since when is it OK to shame people for expressing their truth?

How does everyone side with the person who yells “fuck off” to the person who is trying to engage in a conversation? This is NOT how we move forward. This is a classic example of a stubborn and arrogant approach to an argument. How are we supposed to learn if we don’t listen to each other?

Unfortunately, nobody wants to learn a damn thing these days. Truth doesn’t sell.

And it truly puts what JK Rowling really stands for into question by submerging herself in hateful exchanges at Piers Morgan, who in his defense, was politely expressing his view on the matter, one in which myself and many others, happen to agree with.

So here is my point in a nutshell: please start to think for yourselves.

Seriously this time.

I know this is such a cliché statement, but NO ONE seems to be practicing this. People say that they “think for themselves” but then watch the news channels and their favorite celebrities talk and then immediately lose track of their original values and hop on whatever’s popular.

We know all too often that the power of the group can affect even the principled individual. Just because everyone has gone completely bonkers about Donald Trump, does not mean it’s justified. Newsflash: he is not the ONE and ONLY cause of suffering in our world at this time.

In fact, our entire political system is occupied with loads of shit-head puppets who have not even the slightest concern for the people, yet they silently and covertly join you in protest against Trump, with hopes that you don’t point fingers at them.

We have to broaden our hysteria for Trump to the bigger picture before it is too late.

We have to stand with truth at the end of the day even when you may not want to hear it. (Since truth has a knack for being harsh and uncomfortable)

And does history not teach us that those who refused to conform to society’s mainstream opinions ended up being referred to as the greatest minds in history?

Whether you agree with Piers Morgan or not, he has the right to say what he said. And it should be left to the individual to make up their mind whether their point of view aligns with what they are exposed to. And this goes for Anti- Milo Yiannopoulos anarchists too.

Of course, there will be those who say, “if someone has the right to say something I hate, then I have the right to tell them to fuck off!”

Sure, but is this how you prefer to engage in conversation? Is this the way you change the world for the better, by telling those that you disagree with to “fuck off?”

How can you claim to be right in your argument if you let emotionally-responsive outbursts crowd your ability to level and ration ideas?

Meditate on that and if you truly stand for the right of free speech, then you would agree that we all deserve the right to express ourselves and to engage with one another in a leveled and sensible debate, no matter who you are.
