Growing up in New York, just outside of Manhattan, I was fortunate enough to attend a lot of Broadway productions as a kid and teenager.

If time worked like rollover data, I’d have so many minutes to cash in.

Every pet owner can recall the surge of excitement that comes with bringing home a new puppy or kitten. You spend days animal-proofing your house, looking for every way your new fur baby could get into trouble.

Before the term “blog” was part of our mainstream vocabulary, before everyone and their mother decided they were a lifestyle blogger, and before twitter and instagram and facebook…there was this amazing thing called Livejournal.

There’s a certain breed of female, recently made quasi-famous by Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl.

“At least you can always teach theatre.”

Winter is here, and if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.

Regardless of when the love-fest began, one thing is clear: Lizzy Caplan is the epitome of the phrase “girl crush.”

There’s no better message to communicate to middle and high school students than “be who you are, and don’t let haters get you down.”

We’re all entitled to our opinions, but we need to stop fooling ourselves into thinking that our opinions about complete strangers translate into fact.

You’ll soon start hearing questions about setting a date, inquiries about locations, or comments from curious folks who just want to know what you envision for your dress. Respond to these politely, but don’t dwell on them just yet.

While easy and convenient to pull up a text message thread, or to quickly shoot off an email from our iPhones, there’s something unequivocally meaningful about getting a letter in the mail that is personally addressed, stamped, and sealed.
