All we really know now are our memories and our nostalgia.

People are worried for America’s future. What will it be like, they wonder, with Millennials in charge/on the loose? What can they ever do?

We are the guinea pigs of this new age, like the people who built the railroads and changed the clocks. We are just figuring it out as we go along, trying all the new things spread out in front of us, seeing what works.

All my heroes were artists and rebels. I studied their lives with envy and admiration, my restless soul squirming within my shuttered body.

Despite the difficult job market, my peers and I seem to hold onto a steadfast belief that we can always go somewhere else and find something better.
