25-year-old Keith Norris Williams is an enlisted member of the U.S. Air Force who is serving at Hurlburt Field in Okaloosa County, Florida where he holds the rank of Airman First Class.

Williams was on the dating app Badoo. Though not as common in the US, Badoo is a popular dating app and was the most popular dating app in 21 countries in 2016, for reference. In October of 2020, Williams met an 11-year-old girl from Decatur, Alabama on the app.

Apparently, he drove to Decatur soon after and met the girl in her backyard, where he raped her.

Police were alerted to the rape by the girls’ father who had access to her Facebook account and saw a friend request from Williams on her account. The father messaged Williams pretending to be his daughter and said “do I know you?” Williams then responded with the outfit the girl was wearing when they met and then joked about the sexual assault. He ended the response with “Ima definitely marry you in the future lol”.

The family had a conversation with the girl where she confirmed that the man had travelled to Decatur and raped her. The family then went to the police.

On Facebook, the Decatur Police Department says:

FELONY RAPE ARREST: On February 12, 2021, the Decatur Police Department received a report that an adult male had been communicating online with a child in Decatur and had made arrangements to meet the child in person.

Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that during the month of October 2020, 25-year-old Airman First Class Keith Norris Williams, stationed at Hurlburt Field in Florida, traveled to Decatur and engaged in an unlawful sex act with the child.

“The above listed defendant is considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.”

Williams has been charged with first degree rape, traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and electronic solicitation of a child. He has been released on a $60,000 bond.
