I had no control over my crippling depression. It dictated my sleep, eating habits, exercise routine, human interactions, everything. And now my own body had betrayed me in the physical sense.

For months I had been trying to extinguish the small shred of hope that he would wake up one morning and realize we were perfect together. But moments like this made it increasingly difficult. 

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not some sort of sociopath who’s incapable of feelings. I just refuse to let myself get attached to a member of the opposite sex.
