It’s as if the Universe had been waiting for the perfect moment to place them in front of you. When you were ready. 

I am here to remind you that it will not happen overnight, but one day, you will wake up and feel that lust for life again.

Your leaving was the equivalent of being rudely and abruptly awakened from a heavenly, comforting dream. To open my eyes hurt. A lot. 

Almost every being on this planet can in some way, shape, or form, connect with the experience of heartbreak.

Nevertheless, I was in love. I was willing to be with you forever.

Because of you, reciprocation and thoughtfulness make me feel uneasy. You taught me that even if it is given, it doesn’t last long and it is only used to get something in return.  

The thing is, you assume that everyone is good and kind and open, like yourself. And so it was impossible to see the reality behind his deliberate façade. You couldn’t have known the truth at the time.
