Whenever I listen to it, I think of the person I'm with and I immediately feel a hundred times more in love. It's like a drug to me.
Everyone has that one song that makes them melt completely — they associate it with falling in love, being happy, and generally feeling wonderfully romantic. I wanted to find out people’s secret love songs, that ~unlock their heart~ with one play. Here are some of the best answers I received.

For me, nothing makes me feel more in love and infatuated than “You Make My Dreams Come True” By Hall & Oates. It’s bouncy and fun and perfectly captures what it feels like to fall in love. I listen to it every time I’m dating someone new that I’m really excited about.
2. Jesse
If you’ve seen Moulin Rouge, there is a song by Rufus Wainwright called “Complainte de la Butte.” I don’t know what it means (I mean I didn’t used to, I googled the lyrics), but it always sounded really haunting and romantic to me. It makes me feel a certain way.
3. Nathan
“La Ritournelle” by Sebastien Tellier. Its over 7 minutes of this sort of tragic, beautiful, lyric-less music. I used to cry every time I listened to it. (I still do sometimes, but only when I’m really sad.) It’s kind of a breakup song to me, but still feels like love. Like “I have to let you go but I still love you deeply” kind of thing.
4. Ella
My “fall in love” song is “These Foolish Things” by Ella Fitzgerald. Her voice is the sound of love.
5. Olivia
“The Power of Love” by Celine Dion. Because I’m probably the corniest person in the world, but I don’t care. I get chills when I listen to it, no matter how many times I’ve played it… and it really makes me feel like my husband is next to me, even when we’re separated for whatever reason. I listen to it in the car and sing as loud as I can, and everything feels romantic and okay.
6. Molly
“Bring It On Home To Me” by Sam Cooke.

When I was separated from my boyfriend for a while a year ago — we were going on a break for dumb reasons, and both had too much pride to come to the other one — I used to sit in my room, cry, eat terrible food, and listen to “Nothing Compares 2 U” by Sinead O Connor on repeat. And when we finally got back together, he told me he listened to that song all the time, too. Now it’s our love song.
8. Aleks
“Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley. It’s a classic for a reason, and it makes me think of my ex-girlfriends with fondness for what we had, instead of being bitter. It’s the only song that can do that.
9. Steven
UB40 did a cover of “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You,” and not a lot of people know about it, but I think it’s really great. It has a great beat, but it still keeps all the emotion of the original.
10. Paula
I used to date this total wannabe hippie, and we didn’t work out, but he taught me a lot about great music. We used to sit in his room and listen to his Blood, Sweat And Tears records, and “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” has always stuck with me. It feels really joyous and genuinely in love, and now I feel the same way when I listen to it.
11. Jamie
“Comptine d’un Autre Ete” by Yann Tiersen, from the movie Amelie. It’s simple and quiet but very beautiful.
12. Bianca
It’s more sexy than romantic, but it still reminds me of all the best times I’ve fallen in love and become totally obsessed with someone. “Wicked Games” by Chris Isaak.
13. Monica
It’s probably not very original at this point, but “Thinkin Bout You” by Frank Ocean is one of the best representations of falling in love with someone I know of. Whenever I listen to it, I think of the person I’m with and I immediately feel a hundred times more in love. It’s like a drug to me.
14. Jack
“How Deep Is Your Love” by The Bee Gees is my parents’ song, and I’ve kind of adopted it. I play it for a girl when I really start loving her, and tell her how important it is — that it’s a pure love song. If they love it as much as I do, I know they’re a keeper.
15. Amy
My husband sang me “She’s Always A Woman” by Billy Joel at our wedding. Ever since, it makes me melt totally. You can really feel how much he loved the woman he was writing about.
16. Michael
“Where the Boys Are” by Connie Frances was a breakup song with me and my ex boyfriend, but now it feels like a love song, because it reminds me of how many guys are still out there to fall in love with.
17. Adam
“Come Fly With Me” by Frank Sinatra. Classic and perfect.
