Around :40, the officer asks Jones to retrieve his wallet, and immediately begins shooting, ostensibly under the pretense that he feared Jones was getting a weapon. (I’ll let you decide the absurdity of that yourself.) Jones was shot in the hip and is currently recovering.
Groubert has been fired and arrested, but it remains to be seen what punishment he will actually receive.
