This comes at a time of an unprecedented economic crisis in Spain, with unemployment at 26% and growing.
As The Guardian reports, Madrid radio station Carne Cruda 2.0 organized a flashmob of musicians to perform The Beatles’ “Here Comes The Sun” in an unemployment office, which you can see in the video below. This comes at a time of unprecedented economic crisis in Spain, with unemployment at 26% and rising. 800,000 jobs were lost last year and over half of people under 25 are unemployed. The Spanish government has cut spending to save money, but, according to Oxfam, continued government austerity would result in long-term damage: “By 2022, some 18 million Spaniards, or 38% of the population, could be in poverty.”
