Emilia Clarke might be making press rounds for her role as Qi’ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story, but that won’t stop her from talking about the next and final season of Games of Thrones. After all, it was Clarke’s role as Daenerys Targaryen that really helped her break out in the entertainment business, and its perhaps her most beloved role of all. No one — not even Clarke — is ready to say goodbye to the Mother of Dragons.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Clarke peppered in a few quotes about the finale season of Game of Thrones, specifically what fans can expect from her character. Clarke has allegedly already filmed Daenerys’s final scene, which she makes sound surprisingly bleak.

“It fucked me up,” Clarke said. “Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone’s mouth of what Daenerys is.”

What else can we expect from the Khaleesi? Clarke kept her lips pretty tightly sealed, but she did mention that Daenerys would finally meet the Stark sisters, and that the Mother of Dragons would seem a bit “weird” to viewers.

“I’m doing all this weird shit.” Clarke says of her role in the final season. “You’ll know what I mean when you see it.”

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until 2019 to know what this “weird shit” is. Hopefully we’ll find out a little bit more before then! Thought Catalog Logo Mark
