The Official ’13 Reasons Why’ Season 2 Trailer Just Dropped And It’ll Give You Chills
"How far does the dark go?" It looks like that's going to be a major theme this season.
The new season of 13 Reasons Why is just around the corner, which means we’re all speculating what comes next for the teens who have been irrevocably tangled in Hannah Baker’s narrative.
Still, I was naive enough to think that after everything awful the characters (and, honestly, we) went through in season one, the second season would be a breeze. Hopeful, even. Yeah, I’m not so sure about that anymore, based on the official trailer that just dropped today.
I mean, even the song in the trailer poses an interesting question: “How far does the dark go?” I get the feeling that’s going to be a major theme in this season, judging on how dark the trailer seems. Watch and get ready for some major chills.
Here’s what we know about this upcoming season based on the trailer: there’s going to be a lot of photographs being taken (presumably replacing Hannah’s tapes), some pretty gruesome-looking notes from someone who seems to know more than everyone else (the note in Clay’s locker reads: “Hannah wasn’t the only one”), some pretty violent run-ins, protests surrounding Hannah’s death, a trial, some conspiracy theory-style wall maps and… Clay with a gun? Excuse me???
Altogether, it’s set up to be a pretty intense season, with at least one episode that’s expected to garner a lot of buzz, and not in a good way. I’ll give you the same advice I gave you last season: watch with caution and take breaks when you need to. This show is honestly incredibly draining.
Netflix will release 13 Reasons Why season 2 on March 18.
