Here’s What John Krasinski Wants To See In The ‘Quiet Place’ Sequel

Soon after A Quiet Place‘s amazing run in theaters, Paramount announced the movie would be the first in a possible franchise, and that there’d be a sequel soon to follow. While it doesn’t yet have a premise, John Krasinski sure has some ideas.
Krasinski told Deadline that while he only ever imagined A Quiet Place being a standalone film, he’s curious about what’s happening in the world outside of the family the movie follows. He explained:
“The thing that I loved in the movie, where my mind kept wandering as we were making it, was the question of who was on the other end of those fires, when the father lights the fire and in the distance those other fires light up. How did those people survive? How did that old man survive?”
Krasinski makes a good point. In the movie, we only follow the characters of Krasinski, Emily Blunt, and their children. Outside of the small family unit, we only ever encounter one other person. But obviously other people are alive out there, who may be living drastically different lives. And speaking of those people we know are alive out there, how did they start the fire-starting tradition? Honestly, I have so many questions this upcoming movie could answer.
A Quiet Place‘s sequel is still in the early stages of production, but hopefully we’ll see it come to fruition in the next few years. I, for one, can’t wait.
