This Woman Asked Her Crush Out On Twitter So He Decided To Ask Her To Marry Him The Same Way
This is the Twitter love story we don't deserve, but that we're lucky enough to get anyway.
Everyone has that social media crush that they don’t really know but they kind of feel like they do anyway. Maybe it’s a writer who has a particularly relatable voice or some rando on Instagram who is superb at documenting their life via Instagram. Whoever it is, you’ve probably imagined what your life would be like if you met them and inevitably married them Trust me, we’ve all been there.
But there’s one particular woman who will never have to wonder: Torey Stachowicz, aka the woman who actually had the courage to ask sports writer Ben Axelrod out on Twitter, even though she didn’t know him irl.

And because fate can be a funny thing, he actually decided to respond. The exchange was simple but kind of cute.

@toreydanae nah, if you're buying, you can pick. Just make sure they have chicken fingers.

But that was three years ago. Why should we care now? Well, let’s just say there has been some recent developments that are pretty dang squee-worthy.

If this isn’t proof that it’s time for us to all shoot our shots, I’m not sure what is.
