The Creepy Messages This Woman Found When Remodeling Her Room Are Fucking Terrifying
The time capsule took a darker turn when one of the girls apologized for the dents in the walls because the family had "a lot of disagreements."
Most of us are familiar with the writing-on-the-wall horror trope, whether it’s “redrum” in the Shining or the “Aren’t you glad you didn’t turn on the light?” urban legend, but we never expect it to happen to us in real life.
This woman found a time capsule on her subfloor while redoing her room. It started off normal enough, if not a little strange.
The authors, Megan and Lauren, introduced themselves and warned the house owners about tearing up the floor.
The girls also seemingly used the floor as a diary, recounting the time Lauren broke her arm, writing about their dead cat and posting pictures of the people in their lives.
They also leave a cryptic note that read: “The house is green. If it’s a different color paint it GREEN.”
The time capsule took a darker turn when one of the girls apologized for the dents in the walls because the family had “a lot of disagreements” and posted a picture of her mother, who lived there with them “at one point”.
There were also notes talking about their dead granddad who “may come and visit you” and a warning to beware of the ghost(s): “They hate it when we watch CSI:NY. No joke.”
It’s no “redrum”, but it’s definitely enough to make us consider moving out ASAP.
