LAST WEEK the Wall Street Journal conducted a very serious study that analyzed which teams engaged in the worst of the 2014 World Cup’s most notorious, annoying, time-honored elements — faking like you’ve been permanently disfigured and need an ambulance to cart you off the pitch. WSJ also determined who spent the longest amount of time flailing, which team has faked the most injuries in one game, and the fastest time it took for someone to fake an injury in a game, among other angles. Most injuries faked: BRAZIL WITH 17 FAKE INJURIES

Most total time spent on ground faking injuries: HONDURAS WITH 7M 40S OF FAKING THEIR INJURIES

Fastest time it took for someone to fake an injury: ENNER VALENCIA OF ECUADOR FAKED AN INJURY 4 SECONDS INTO THE MATCH WITH HONDURAS

Team with most fake injuries in one game: CHILE, PROTECTING THEIR LEAD AGAINST SPAIN
