Monokini 2.0 is an art project dedicated to expanding "what is accepted and considered beautiful by designing a swimwear collection for women who have gone through breast cancer."
Introducing the bikini for women who have gone through a mastectomy – the Monokini.
Developed by Finnish art duo Tärähtäneet ämmät / Nutty Tarts under the project name “Monokini 2.0,” the venture is dedicated to expanding “what is accepted and considered beautiful by designing a swimwear collection for women who have gone through breast cancer.” It will begin seeking crowdfunding on May 30th. No word on when anything like this will be available for retail, but the project will be showcasing the “monokinis” in a catwalk fashion show, and the photographs of the models will be exhibited in Norway, Finland and Sweden.
