This just in from the Monster Ball at Houston – Lady Gaga ate shit. No – not like, a “performance art” piece where she ate actual human feces (although, one would be stretching it a bit to put her above that) – just like, Lady Gaga, in all her larger-than-life glory, falling awkwardly off a flaming piano.
This video is satisfying for the fact that, of all mainstream artists, Lady Gaga seems to be one of the idols that can’t help but take herself really seriously. This is okay, and it can be argued that taking yourself seriously is a valuable endeavor indeed, but – and perhaps this is juvenile of me – it’s just sort of nice to see pop stars accidentally let the “human” out. Just every once in awhile.
