Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Blame Others For Your Lack Of Success
You are not where you want to be simply because you have not worked for it within yourself.
You’ve heard it before, to not wish for what you don’t have that others do. To not perpetually wonder why it is that someone you perceive as lesser than you, more under-qualified than you, or more inexperienced than you has a position you wish to hold. Why did they get promoted and you didn’t? We often ask ourselves and we can all admit that it’s hard to let go of the jealousy we feel over somebody else’s success.
Perhaps we’re drawn by the material possessions they flaunt. Perhaps it’s vacations or trips every other weekend to all the places we wish we could go. Perhaps it’s simply their bottomless wallet, a seemingly never-ending cash flow, to not feel the pressure of living paycheck-to-paycheck.
But another’s success should not create a negative spiral of degrading thoughts of your own abilities and talents. It should not create a blame game. It should never be because of someone else that you are not where you want to be.
You are not where you want to be simply because you have not worked for it within yourself.
If you choose to blame someone for where you are in your life now, you are choosing to neglect yourself. You are failing to realize the capacity you hold within you and the hidden talents you possess that you may keep locked up, in fear of rejection or disappointment.
The key to success is simple. It relies not on anyone but your own core belief that you are capable and you are deserving.
Oftentimes, we refuse to go for our passions simply because in the billions of people in the world, we can’t imagine how a speck of a person as ourselves could ever shine amongst a sky full of stars. But no star is like another, and the way we shine reflects how we feel about ourselves on the inside.
When we treat our own self with love and respect, feed ourselves kindness and compassion, and surround ourselves with those who uplift us rather than damage us, we become unstoppable. No galaxy could hold the universe within us once we fundamentally accept and believe we deserve to win.
Believe in yourself. Look upon your success idols with inspiration instead of jealousy and let that fuel your own desire to create your own success.
It’s all up to you, and it’s never on anyone else but yourself.
