Maybe The Fate We Hoped For Is Not The Fate We Were Given

Sometimes the ones we love never come back. Sometimes the love was never even there to begin with.

There are days when everything around us feels like magic. We can look out into the world and just know that fate is a real, tangible thing. Some days, we can find it in the most unexpected of places, while others, we can find it in the arms that have always felt like home.

Should we ignore fate, then, on the days when everything around us feels wrong? We will face so many days where every answer we hear is no and every door we want to open is locked shut. Do we only believe in fate when it brings us good things? Or is the way they chose to leave us simply another act of fate?

Maybe the fate that we hoped for is not the fate we were given. Sometimes the ones we love never come back. Sometimes the love was never even there to begin with. This does not mean that we should give up on fate and all of the ways the universe intervenes in our lives. If we truly believe in fate, then we know that there is so much out there that is beyond our control. By choosing to believe in fate, we are choosing to believe that whatever is meant to come our way will. Whether we follow our gut or choose to listen to the advice of others, we can be certain that fate is constantly working in the background to pick up the pieces.

Though we are all on a journey we may not know much about, we still do our best to trust that where we are right now is where we are supposed to be. And if where we are right now does not feel like home, we trust fate to bring us where we are meant to be.

Fate may not always appear to be on our side, but I think if we look closely enough at what is unfolding around us, we will see that even in our most difficult moments, there is always something blooming elsewhere.
