You’re moving on and realizing that you’re much more important than you ever imagined or even gave yourself credit for.

We’ve all been in shitty relationships. That’s not what defines us. It’s what we choose to do after that shitty relationship that matters.

You know me. You either want me or you don’t. You either want the intimacy, affection, caring, fun, and thoughtfulness to continue or you don’t.

You realized that if you continued to be hung up on the good times that you had, you would continue to still hold that torch for him. If you continued to hold that torch for him, you were being disrespectful to yourself.

You’ll miss the stupid jokes she made and the way she laughed at them, at herself. You’ll miss how understanding and real she was, even when you didn’t always deserve it.

It’s been almost two years and I still find it hard to exist in a world where my father doesn’t.

To my ex, I’m grateful to you being the best and worse damn decision I ever made.

I love you and I’m no longer afraid to say it.

You’re all sorts of in your feels and you should be.

I should’ve known when there was red flag after red flag, but that’s the price you pay when you begin to open your heart to someone who doesn’t deserve it.

Someone else will come around and that’ll be exactly what they want and need from you.
