4 Of The Biggest Reasons Why You Always Find Yourself Attached To Emotionally Unavailable Men
You always want what you can’t have. That’s how the saying goes, right? The thrill of the chase pulls you in and you’re instantly hooked. And this essentially applies to anything and everything in life.
You want that awesome new job but it requires experience you don’t have.
You want that bacon pizza but you’re on a low-carb diet.
You want that guy but he’s indefinitely labeled as “emotionally unavailable.”
So what does this mean? Are we simply just wired to want what we can’t have?

1. THE CHASE.
The thrill of not knowing what’s on his mind is oddly exciting. Trying to pick apart his brain ultimately becomes a challenge that you unknowingly become a part of. And honestly, once you get what thought you wanted for so long, you’ll likely wind up not really wanting it so badly after all. It’s about the chase. The chase makes it exciting, and keeps you on your toes and wondering what’s coming next. We need to ask ourselves if what we’re chasing is what we actually want.
2. YOU CRAVE ATTENTION, BUT NOT THE KIND OF ATTENTION YOU NEED.
You cling to the guy who gives you attention, but not the kind of attention you deserve. You know, the kind of guy that wants to know your bra size instead of what your favorite movie is. The guy who would choose to take you out for a night of drinking instead of engaging in any sort of meaningful conversation. We need to start being picky with whom we give and receive attention from, because attention truly means nothing if it isn’t received from the right person.
3. BAD BOYS.
The bold, abrasive guy who knows exactly how to get what he wants, exactly when he wants it. You tell yourself that you’re going to be the exception. The girl that’s able to chip away that tough exterior he puts up and win over his heart. The hard-to-get mentality he has captivates you and it’s not long before you’re totally hooked. You continue to wait around for him to decide when he wants to finally settle down, when in reality he most likely is never going to. Just remember that the nice guys will always finish first.
4. YOU ARE TOTALLY CONVINCED THAT YOU CAN FIX HIM.
You feel like it’s your duty to fix every damaged guy you come across and help him realize his full potential. You see something that’s essentially “broken” and you must put the pieces back together. Here’s a big piece of advice; you can’t fix him, nor should you ever feel compelled to do so.
