When You Break It Down, It’s Simple

Never let the challenges of this world discount your journey in faith, because even in the face of evil and despair, there will always be a greater purpose, a greater outcome.

It’s such an overlooked topic in today’s world of constant need and longing for approval — people all over the world are becoming so invested in the digital world being their “greater thing or purpose” to provide the gratification they’re looking for. We’re all guilty of falling into this trap to some extent. It’s hard not to when social media is how today’s world communicates and expresses themselves.

It’s a blessing, yet misconceiving, to have an opportunity to spread love, encouragement, and positively influence 7.53 billion people anywhere in this world, while also hiding the difficult, uneasy, and suffering behind a digital facade.

So, let’s talk about it.

Let’s talk about the billions of people in this world who are trying to be brave and put on a strong front in the face of evil and suffering. The billions of people in this world trying to find their way in believing and trusting that everything will be okay, trying to find their way in believing and trusting that there is a greater purpose. Because when you break it down, it’s really so simple — it’s having faith.

It can, at times, seem like an uphill battle when you’re trying to believe in and trust in something that cannot be seen, something that is not tangible. But the truth is, there is no single right way to have faith. Our world is comprised of so many unknowns, obstacles, phases of rejection, acceptance, and criticism. There are far too many things that are left unknown and taken to chance. Things that are broken and flawed. There’s considerable suffering, pain, and self-doubt. But the good news? It’s only temporary. Because if there is anything that is certain in this constantly evolving world, it’s that having a little faith will get you through it all. Having a little faith will open that door for your comeback.

I’m not going to tell you that I have confidently found my way to God through having faith, because I haven’t. I’m still finding my way through my journey and relationship with Him. But, that doesn’t mean that I lack the ability or desire to have faith. I have witnessed the amazing things God’s presence has done in the lives of those closest to me. I have witnessed medical miracles happen, prayers get answered, and lives become transformed.

I have found the courage to stay positive when I feel like I have lost the reins in a world that keeps challenging my every move. I have found the strength to keep fighting when it feels like I keep hitting dead-ends time and time again. I have found the love in my heart to forgive and accept. I have found the hope that keeps my head held high when I feel most defeated.

I’m not going to tell you that I have confidently found God through having faith, because I haven’t. I’m still finding my way through my journey and relationship with Him. But having a little faith in life has allowed me to find myself, my strength, my heart, my purpose.

Never let the challenges of this world discount your journey in faith, because even in the face of evil and despair, there will always be a greater purpose, a greater outcome. Open your heart and mind to trust, to act in the face of uncertainty, to persevere, to believe.

Because when you break it down, it’s simple.
