This Is What You Truly Deserve, Even When You Don’t Believe You Do

This Is What You Truly Deserve, Even When You Don’t Believe You Do

Despite everything that you had been through—every mistake, every heartbreak, and every obstacle that came your way—you deserve more than you think you do. You need to stop selling yourself short. You need to recognize that you are more than your mistakes and flaws. You need to acknowledge that just like everyone else, you deserve something good. You deserve the things that will make you feel comfortable in your shoes. You deserve every good that this world could offer you. I am here to remind you that this is what you truly deserve, even when you don’t believe you do.

You deserve to be happy.

Happiness may not come easy for you most days, but you deserve to be genuinely happy. You deserve to smile without any uncertainties. You deserve to laugh until you can’t breathe. You deserve to tell everyone that you are satisfied with everything that you have right now. You deserve to be happy without thinking about how long it will last, because I know that it has been rough. Nonetheless, I know that you are trying your best to obtain the happiness that you have been longing for. Therefore, let this be a reminder for you that it may not feel great today, but the happiness that you deserve will find its way back to you.

You deserve to be loved unconditionally.

You suffered through a lot of pain and heartache, and I know that it has been tough. I am here to remind you that you deserve to be loved the way you love people. You deserve the kind of love that gives you all the peace that you need. You deserve the love you continue trying to give to everyone else. You deserve to receive the love that makes the butterflies in your stomach come to life. You deserve a love that doesn’t question the future, past, and the present. You deserve one great love, even though you’ve seen pain with your own eyes, even though you’ve suffered in the past. You deserve the love that you have wasted on all the people that left you behind. You deserve a kind of love that sees beyond the flaws and mistakes you’ve made in the past. You deserve somebody worth loving unconditionally. Because those who took you for granted were just chances to grow, and even though you may not consider that such a love can exist, I know that one day you will receive the love you truly deserve.

You deserve all the right things.

You deserve all the right things this life could give you. You deserve to be treated with respect. You deserve to be treated the same way you treat others. You deserve to be with someone who lifts you up and support you in everything that you do. You deserve to have people around you that give you the positivity that you’ve been yearning for. You deserve friends that will be with you no matter how high or how low you are in your life. You deserve all the right thing that this world could offer you. You need to put your past behind and focus on your future and how can you make it better. You have a good heart, and you deserve to be with a good person. You deserve all the right things, despite all the mistakes that you made in the past.

You deserve peace and serenity.

You’ve spent countless sleepless nights mourning with the moonlight. You’ve been living a lie every time you said the words, “I’m fine.” You deserve to be really fine. You deserve to get a good night’s sleep every night. You deserve the peace and tranquillity that you so badly need. You deserve to sleep soundly and not cry yourself to sleep. It’s time to quit losing sleep over things that no longer matter. You deserve to be finally at peace with the past. Withdraw yourself from the things or the people that disrupt your peace. You no longer need chaotic love—claim your peace, because that is what you truly deserve.

I know that you had been living your life repeating the mistakes you made in the past and jailing yourself with pain and agony. I know you believe that you deserve less and that no one will give you more because of the flaws you carry with you, but you deserve more. All the failures and mistakes that were made in the past are just lessons you need to learn. It is necessary to acknowledge and accept your experiences, your mistakes, your griefs, and your flaws in order to claim what you truly deserve when the time comes. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
