This Is The Love You Do Not Deserve
I hope you never settle for a half-hearted kind of love.
If someone told you once that you needed to settle for half of what your heart needs, I hope you realize that they were lying. I hope you see that they don’t understand what love means. I hope you understand that they were wrong.
I hope you know you deserve a love that’s as full as the ocean.
I hope you know that you deserve a love that’s as big and vast as the night sky.
When you settle for half-hearted love, you’re cheating yourself.
You’re cheating yourself out of a love that is full, and the joy that comes from growing from a place of fullness. When you settle for a half-hearted love, you’re settling for something that is empty. You’re settling for a heart that only beats with half of its force. You’re accepting something that will never be complete. You’re choosing to not be full.
Half-hearted love will inevitably break you.
It’ll make you question your worth, your needs, your value as a human. It’ll make you try to make up for all that is missing – and in doing so, you’ll mold into something you do not recognize. You’ll become someone that is so different from what is at your core. You’ll try to fill the cracks and voids and empty spaces – and in doing so, you’ll lose what makes you, you.
I hope you don’t do that.
Love is beautiful and wonderful, and magical. And relationships take work, and choice, and balance, and care.
I hope you know that you are deserving of someone who cares.
You deserve someone who cares about you and the love that you both have. You deserve someone who wants to pour into you, who wants to cultivate the love that’s there. You deserve someone who wants to chase the moon for you, and someone whom you want to chase the moon for, too.
You deserve a love that makes your heart overflow with happiness.
Please don’t settle for a half-hearted kind of love.
