‘A Quiet Place’ Is Officially Getting Its Terrifying Sequel
Early on in A Quiet Place's run, writers teased possible sequels, but now it's official: Paramount chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos confirmed A Quiet Place sequel is officially in the works.
A Quiet Place has only been in theaters for a few weeks, but it’s already generated plenty of buzz from horror fans and movie critics alike. The movie is already one of the most profitable films of the year and the biggest “not based on anything” Hollywood movie of 2018, and even managed to snag a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Even non-horror fans had positive things to say about it — and that’s how you know it’s good.
Early on in A Quiet Place‘s run, writers teased possible sequels, but now it’s official: Paramount chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos confirmed A Quiet Place sequel is officially in the works.
Gianopulos didn’t reveal any other details, including whether or not John Krasinski would return to direct the film. It seems likely that the sequel will focus on new characters, but who knows — maybe we’ll all be surprised at where the writers decide to take it. They’ve got quite a bit of leeway in the post-apocalyptic world they’ve created.
So, what do you want to see in the sequel? Personally, I just hope that the next installment has just as much horror — and heart — as the first one.
