Women are empowered, incredible human beings capable of extraordinary things.
SAY WHAT?
Yes, gentle reader, that’s right. Women are modern day superheroes. And, no, I’m not just talking about Gal Gadot.
Women aren’t afraid to take control of their lives, and that includes their sex lives.
We’ve come a long way in the process of smashing the stereotype that only men enjoy sex. Because I’m going to let you in on a craaaazy secret. Women are just as sexual.
Again, SAY WHAT?
Due to a long history of repression and chaste expectations, we’ve become conditioned to think the opposite. For so long, women were encouraged to remain “pure” and be subservient to their male counterparts. How dare they have their own needs and desires? How dare they be their own person?
As a result, female sexuality has been greatly minimized.
But it’s 2017 and we’re tired of that narrative.
Women can do whatever they want. They can be whoever they want.
Women are rejecting being placed in such a rigid box. They are climbing up the corporate ladder. They are turning passion projects into career paths. They are raising families, or living life to the fullest on their own, all while kicking ass in their own unique ways. And yes, they’re putting their sexual health back into their own hands.
Purchasing a pack of condoms not only gives a sense of relief that you’re safe and prepared for wherever the night takes you, but it’s also a reclaiming of power.
It’s saying you are ready and smart. You are capable and self-sufficient. It’s choosing yourself instead of letting someone else dictate how to feel. It’s listening to your body and honouring it.
Personally, I feel so much better knowing I have my own pack of condoms on hand because it makes me an active part of the decision making. I’m not waiting on my partner to provide. I can do it all by myself.
And nothing is quite as powerful as that.
