You Have Faced Deadlier Things And Survived
By Nikita Gill
You have tasted deadlier poisons than this and survived. There is more trauma you have faced and survived. Your body has remarkable resilience built into it in so many ways you do not know yet. You are made for the sky and the stars to marvel over, because you are the universe making itself known in a very small, fragile, beautiful way.
The truth is, self hatred is so easy.
So when people try to prove you wrong, or horrible, or like you are not worth knowing, you have every right to cut them out of your lives, and leave them behind because you know what? They are toxic for your soul. The most beautiful things about the people who will truly love you is that they will love you for the person you are, not the person you are pretending to be.
Loving someone truly is always going to be one of the bravest things you will ever do. Because there is the kind of selflessness there that makes the world the kind of place you are proud to be in. And the best kind of love you can ever receive is the love you give yourself. Loving yourself is brave, and kind and good in the kind of ways that people do not yet understand. In a time when awkwardness and insecurity are looked as lovable flaws, loving yourself may seem like a hard thing to do.
The truth is, your journey as a human will never ever reach a destination or a happier path until you learn to love yourself, despite all the venom someone is trying to inject into you.
At the end of the day, you were made to survive anything, and your biggest survival will be the day you learn to love yourself rather than looking for someone else to love you.
