Facebook is a great place to find local restaurants, especially for people who engage in specific diets like vegans or the gluten free. However, if a restaurant owner is crazy, it’s also a good place to destroy your business in public ‘Amy’s Baking Company‘ style.
It all started when this vegan restaurant in the UK announced their plans to go “internet free” and stop accepting credit cards or serving Cappuccinos all because they believe that technology is “cruel” and exploits nature.
It didn’t help that this manifesto, sent out to all their followers, was poorly worded and full of grammatical errors and typos.
When some of their customers gave very real and legitimate reasons for using the internet, reasons we’re all familiar with, that seemed to just agitate the restaurant owners and that’s when they started going off.
Third world problems?
Use the internet to find a community of people with special needs children like yours? You’re small-minded and I will literally fight you.
Oh, right, first world isn’t the same as third world.
“F*cking cocks?” Seriously?!
They really go all in here. “Don’t like what we’re saying? You’re not welcome” at a business that needs money to survive.
Yeah, f*ck your plans, Bethany!
Apparently, their restaurant is now sitting on a one-star quality rating on Facebook so whatever they’d hoped to accomplish with this rant I bet that wasn’t it.
