You’re The Type Of Person Who Deserves The Best Kind Of Love (A Love That Doesn’t Leave)

I’m telling you that you don’t need to do this on your own. You are so strong, but you need someone to keep you together when you're slowly breaking apart. You’re not supposed to do it on your own.

I will be your glue. I will hold you together when you want to give up. I will let you stick to my shattered edges and fit in yours like a puzzle piece. We are broken, but together we mend.

I’m telling you that you don’t need to do this on your own. You are so strong, but you need someone to keep you together when you’re slowly breaking apart. You’re not supposed to do it on your own.  I know you struggle with being beautiful and being found beautiful, but to me you are the most beautiful of them all. I want to love you enough. I want to fight for you. A heart like yours, well, it deserves to be fought for more than anyone.

Someone you loved with all of your might left you. That must hurt more than the edge of a knife slowly slicing away the layers of your skin.

But to be honest, I’m not sorry that it happened to you. I’m not sorry because you wouldn’t be who you are today if you didn’t experience that pain. You are who you are because of how you overcame that terrible hurt. I know you still struggle every single day with it, but with each day you choose to fight. And that is exactly what I’ve always admired about you. You fight regardless of your circumstances.

You’re the type of person who deserves the best kind of love. A love that doesn’t leave you when you’re scattered on the floor in a million pieces. A love that glues you back together when you no longer have the strength to do it yourself. You are enough. If I could scream those words on the top of my lungs to you tonight, well, I would probably burst your ear drums. But I at least hope you would believe me. I wrap my pinky finger around yours and make a forever promise to be your glue.

I will never give up on you. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
