An Open Letter To The Other Woman: I Doubt You’ll Be His Last
You now have to watch your back. You now have to subconsciously worry about the next pretty young thing that walks by, every modelesque, petite, or what have you girl that crosses your path.
You’ve done it. You’ve won his heart, something that used to be mine.
He found greater things in you than he did me. He seems happier with you than he was with me. He wants to spend his time with you and not me. You captured his attention and managed to hold it. I feared it would happen eventually and I hoped that the day would never come, but it did.
It’s now your responsibility to take care of him. Your job to make him happy. Your duty to love him. All these I did, but clearly my efforts were not enough as he’s with you now. He fell in love with you and that’s great.
You have each other now, you’re not alone.
Doesn’t it feel good to be out in the open? No need to hide all the time. No need to safeguard a secret. No more tiptoeing around me and people I know. No need to kiss and hold hands in the dark. No need to book a hotel for you to spend time together. No more need to lie. I encourage you to show the world that you’re a couple. Love shouldn’t be kept secret. It should be shared. It should be cherished. Love should never be a dirty little secret. Doesn’t it feel good to be able to breathe freely? Doesn’t it feel good to be honest?
Well, it’s my turn to be honest, brutally honest.
You now have to watch your back. You now have to subconsciously worry about the next pretty young thing that walks by, every modelesque, petite, or what have you girl that crosses your path. You now have to deal with the never-ending paranoia because chances are he’ll be cheating on you with someone else. Keep in mind, once a cheater, always a cheater. He looks for the adrenaline rush that comes with sneaking around. Savors every forbidden kiss. Relishes every covert encounter.
If you’re not up for all that, if you don’t believe that you’re that special girl that can tame the beast, then I suggest you leave. Pack up your things and go. Something I should have done when I had the chance. Before it was too late.
I deserved better.
You deserve better.
We deserve better than being kept a secret and eventually passed up for the next hot chick that walks in his line of sight. Then again, you might just be that one in a million girl that can change him. Only time will tell.
Just keep in mind that I thought I was that special girl that could change him and now I’m the discarded ex and you’re in the shoes I was in before.
