Texan Teacher Defends McKinney Cop And Blames Blacks For Everything

"I'm just going to just go ahead and say it...the blacks are the ones causing the problems and this 'racial tension.. [...] I'm almost to the point of wanting them all segregated on one side of town so they can hurt each other and leave the innocent people alone."

You know, when I bring up about the “good ole’ days”, I’m usually talking about when my parents would make me lunch and do my laundry for me. On the other hand, teacher Karen Fitzgibbons apparently harkens back to Jim Crow, discrimination, and slavery.

Fitzgibbons has lost her job as an elementary school teacher for going on a hate laden rant regarding the events at McKinney, where a caucasian police officer pointed his gun at two unarmed african american teenagers, and pinned a 15-year-old on the ground. Fitzgibbons, however, did not think it was the officer was at fault. She did have suggestions at who to blame instead:

I’m just going to just go ahead and say it…the blacks are the ones causing the problems and this ‘racial tension…I guess that’s what happens when you flunk out of school and have no education. I’m sure their parents are just as guilty for not knowing what their kids were doing; or knew and didn’t care.

Her solution?

I’m almost to the point of wanting them all segregated on one side of town so they can hurt each other and leave the innocent people alone. Maybe the 50s and 60s were really on to [sic] something.

While Fitzgibbons did delete her post and publicly apologize for its content, it was too little too late to safe her job:

Frenship ISD is deeply disappointed in the thoughtlessness conveyed by this employee’s post. We find these statements to be extremely offensive, insensitive, and disrespectful to our Frenship community and citizens everywhere. These comments in no way represent the educational environment we have created for our students.

The employee whose account is responsible for the post will be relieved of her teaching duties at Frenship ISD. (School District Website)
