Hello there! Happy mid-week crisis! Hope you are sitting pretty atop your goals, achievements and dreams right now reading this. If music co-runs your life like it does mine, let me help you in finding your next favorite jam. Here are 7 songs from around the globe that you HAVE to hear this summer before they either get played out by the radio, squashed by record labels themselves, or shown to you by one of your friends who claims he or she knows every single catchy song ever recorded ever in the history of music…ever.

1. Bad Intentions – Mic Lowry

The fresh 5-piece R’n’B boy group who released their debut EP titled, The Show, this past April has been picking up steam in the music scene for about the last year now. The Liverpool, England natives who gained popularity off their exquisitely arranged Beyonce and Bruno Mars medley cover on Youtube, claim on their Soundcloud page, “Somewhere R’n’B got lost, we found it, and we’re bringing it back.” Of course, this is for the people to decide but this record is one breath of fresh air in a very saturated R’n’B market. Stream the iTunes sample and buy the single or EP if you’re feeling it:

2. Keeping You Up – KStewart

20-year old London native Kate Stewart is no rookie when it comes to authentic UK-sounding tunes. Appearing on Oliver Heldens’ house-thrashing banger, Last All Night (Koala) last November and TCTS’ Games last summer, Stewart is back with her signature soulful sound. Produced by the musically gifted and also very young Shift K3Y, take a listen to this catchy, groovy and sensual sounding tune:

3. Electric Body A$AP Rocky feat. Schoolboy Q

There is no surprise that A$AP Rocky is considered one of the greatest up and coming rappers in America. The Harlem born-and-raised rapper who has recently led his ASAP Mob to new heights was planning on releasing his newest album, At Long Last A$AP, on June 2nd. Due to an unfortunate album leakage, Rocky was forced to release it a week earlier on May 26th. While his highly anticipated third album has Rod Stewart, Mark Ronson, Lil Wayne, Juicy J, Mos Def and even Kanye West gracing the tracks, the dark Kendrick Lamar-like melodies of Electric Body featuring the hot-as-ever Schoolboy Q are soothing to those who crave that classic A$AP sound. 4. Up To No Good – Coolwater feat. Adrian Delgado

You may be wondering who the h-e-double hockey sticks Coolwater is. Well, don’t feel alone because this is their first official release…ever. They are the newest electronic duo composed of Like A G-6 creators, Far East Movement and Norwegian futuristic bass producer, Autolaser. In their beautiful, melodic debut, they bring on SoCal R’n’B singer, Adrian Delgado to provide the perfect vocals for cruising to this ideal summertime anthem. Listen here:

5. The Best – Lenno feat. Dragonette

Every so often, you can close your eyes and recognize the vibes, motives and ideas racing through the mind of a song’s creator as they sat and recorded it in the studio. This is definitely one of those tracks. The 20-year old Finland disco prodigy, Lenno, is back with what critics are calling his finest work. Featuring 80s-like vocals from Canadian pop band, Dragonette, here is one of the busiest pop musical compositions of 2015…arguably The Best. Take a listen:

6. Not Letting Go – Tinie Tempah feat. Jess Glynne

Just as his faithful following was getting fed up with London superstar rapper Tinie Tempah for not having released a new single in about two years, he came back and dropped an absolute summer banger. Featuring one of the smoothest voices in the world right now in Jess Glynne, who you have probably heard on Clean Bandit’s Rather Be and Real Love, Tempah provides incredibly clear and catchy verses over a warm, funky beat. Written about a former romance during the London summertime, this is guaranteed to resonate with every tank top-wearing, boat shoes-sporting, Ray Bans-styling individual this season. Be the first to crank it with the windows down:

7. Here – Alessia

Have you ever been at a big party with lots of “cool peeps” but sat back and thought about how much you’d rather be home watching Netflix in bed with a pie of pizza, a tub of ice cream and a bottle of wine? That is exactly how Def Jam’s most recent signee Alessia felt when writing the lyrics to her debut single, Here. The Ontario, Canada native might have written the first ever anthem for the antisocial, introverted and irritated partygoers of the world. Her raw lyricism combined with her flawless flowing voice makes this one of the strongest debuts for an artist in recent memory. Check it out:
