Video: Oops! Islamic State Terrorists Recover Arms Meant For U.S. Allies In Syria
In what is clearly a mistake, US forces provided Islamic State terrorists with a bunch of grenades and other arms.
This video surfaced a couple of days ago and depicts Islamic State soldiers recovering a cache of weapons and supplies dropped by U.S. forces and intended for Kurdish forces in Northern Syria. A number of other drops were conducted on the same day and were recovered by the Kurds but this one wasn’t. Whether that’s the fault of the pilot, intelligence, or simply the chaos of battlefield conditions is unknown.
In statements to the press, the government’s had little to say about it except that the rest of the drops got to the right people. And, they were a little defensive about it, understandably.
More important than the successful weapons drops, however, is that Iraqi Kurds are reportedly heading to Syria to back up the Kurds just barely hanging on there.
