5 Reasons To Date A Short Man
There’s something worth debunking about the first standard of being a “man”. There are situations and moments that are awkward when you are with a tall man. These moments are where short men win.
Society tells us that the “ideal man” is the trite idea of tall, dark, and handsome. Anybody who does not fulfill those standards is not much of total package…as they say. It’s undeniably an illogical, archaic, and unforgivable way of thinking. There’s something worth debunking about the first standard of being a “man”. There are situations and moments that are awkward when you are with a tall man.
These moments are where short men win.
1. Can I lean on you?
It’s a Saturday. He asked you for an afternoon stroll, and a dinner date later on. One of you wanted to be mushy and sweet. But you also know it would be super awkward when you, the 5 feet 6 inches creature, and your 6 foot 5 inches man are walking and you wanted to just rest your head on his shoulder.
Never. Gonna. Happen.
For shorter men, or at least guys of the same height as yours, this is not a problem. You’re shoulder to shoulder, neck to neck, and you can easily put your head on his shoulder just because. Sweet!
2. Keep the pace!
Then as you walk, you find yourself no longer strolling but brisk walking, catching up on his “normal” pace. It’s like you’re in a fashion show. Worse is your three strides equal his normal pace! You are almost running, darling.
With guys not bestowed with long legs, walking gets sweeter as you are of the same pace, of the same rhythm, and it gets better like you have wanted it to be.
3. Say what?
Sun is bright, the place is serene, but then you can hardly hear what’s he’s saying because you were focused more on reading his lips, than actually staring at his eyes. Don’t you also get inferior as he look down on you and you look up to him (literally)?
Dating shorter men welcomes an eye-to-eye, leveled conversation without one looking up, or the other staring down. These little non-verbal actions promote who’s inferior and superior, who’s the baby and who’s the boss. Screw it.
4. Let’s hold hands, but don’t drag me.
You knew this would happen. Although you still wanted to hold his hand, feel the warmth of his palm, intertwine your fingers, but you felt this is getting harder for you as you felt you’re dragged and your entire arm weight is on his hand.
Risk it or get rid of it.
5. Sexy time got even awkward-er.
Forget theorizing that you should date tall men because they eventually have a bigger package inside their tiny whites or whatever it is you are thinking. It has long been debunked.
What’s important is you’re face-to-face, chest-to-chest, belly-to-belly, and who gets so aroused by those feet snuggling with yours? Short men totally rock this part. No one gets awkward.
