I think there are three kinds of women: pushovers, ballbusters, and smart women. Pushovers aren’t smart enough to know any better, they just go along with what other people think. Ballbusters are smart and tough — both great qualities in a woman, but they display those things loudly and in social situations, it’s abrasive.

I like smart women. The women who’s minds are full of knowledge. Who can carry on a conversation for hours. They don’t need to brag about how smart they are or destroy someone in an argument (although they could). They are wiser than the ballbuster, they know how to pick their battles.

I’ve been in a relationship with a woman who wasn’t very intelligent. It didn’t make her a bad person, it just meant she wasn’t a match for me. I like to be challenged. I like to know a woman isn’t nodding her head with what I’m saying because she doesn’t know what I’m talking about.

Smart women are also passionate women. They care about a lot of things, and it’s sexy as hell. The know what’s going on in the world and how they think it should be different and why. They might even disagree with you, and you respect them for it.

A smart woman doesn’t have to wait by the phone for me to text or call. I know she’s probably at a bookstore entertaining herself, or reading in the park, or doing anything else she thinks of. She doesn’t need a guy to fill all her time with because she’s someone who has other options.
