Luther Campbell, better known as Uncle Luke of the controversial Miami rap group 2 Live Crew, says he’s interested in running for mayor of Miami-Dade County in the event of a recall election next month. Admittedly not a career politician, Campbell says he has “fresh ideas to solve the county’s problems.” He’d like to lower taxes, increase affordable housing, handle a local hospital’s financial problems, and find money for more parks. All very reasonable ambitions. But his ingenious idea for raising much-needed funds for the county? A stripper tax. “You’re opening up strip clubs everywhere, which I don’t have a problem with.
