Remember back in middle school when teachers wrote on chalkboards and every time they made a stroke, you’d cringe at that sound of chalk scratching the board and feel goosebumps running down your arms?
Well, recent studies have found that it’s not just the sound that makes us physically uncomfortable when we hear nails on a chalkboard. Nope. It’s the roughness and the frequency that affects us the most.
But since we have chalkboards being replaced with whiteboards around the school system, so we just have to worry about people sniffing markers.
