“Call Me Maybe” On Crack: A Cappella And Exponentially Layered
It's half-grating and half-brilliant and all-makes me want to get high and watch fireworks.
Up until last night, I could only stomach the people’s summer anthem of 2012 when mashed up with Third Eye Blind’s “Semi-Charmed Life,” but that all changed after a friend recommended Dan Deacon’s treatment of “Call Me Maybe,” an a cappella version of the song that’s exponentially layered 147 times. It’s half-grating and half-brilliant and all-makes me want to get high and watch fireworks.
