Jamie Lee Curtis Slams Trump in New Instagram Post

By

Curtis posted the passage under a throw-back picture of Trump, with no added framing: ignore the rules, don’t put anything in writing, don’t keep a calendar, rat out other people if you’re cornered, stall until a grand jury’s clock runs out, and feed the press a fantastic story.

The words come from a New Yorker profile published earlier this month, in which journalist David Cay Johnston recounts the tactics Roy Cohn taught Trump in the 1970s and 80s. Commenters on the post made the connection immediately, tagging it “Roy Cohn 101” and citing The Apprentice, the 2024 biopic about Trump’s early relationship with Cohn.

Curtis has been openly critical of Trump since 2016, when she condemned his resurfaced Howard Stern comments about her Freaky Friday co-star Lindsay Lohan. She called his 2024 win a signal of “a sure return to a more restrictive, some fear draconian time,” deactivated her X account after Elon Musk joined the incoming administration, and joined “No Kings” protests in 2025. At a Project Angel Food event earlier this year, she called the administration’s ICE enforcement “inhuman” and an “abhorrence,” and urged the crowd to “defy these motherf***ers.”
