Larry David’s New Obama-Produced HBO Show Has a Character Who’s Obviously RFK Jr., and Larry Tells Him “You Should Die A Dog’s Death.”
The neighbor is a tan, gravelly-voiced anti-vaxxer named Bobby who wants to make sure no kids get vaccinated. David, playing a woman in a wig, tells him he doesn’t know anything about science and isn’t a doctor.

In the latest episode, David appears in drag as Dora Salk, mother of Jonas Salk, the virologist behind the first successful polio vaccine. As Dora works on the vaccine, a critical neighbor named Bobby warns her that it’s “gonna kill people” and “give them heart attacks.”
Dora fires back: “Drop dead, Bobby. You should die a dog’s death. You don’t know anything about science, you’re not a doctor.” When Bobby says that if he were in charge he’d “make sure that no kids took that vaccine,” including for measles, she doesn’t let up: “If you were in charge, God help us all! If some idiot, some moron, ever put you in charge, that would be a dark day for humanity.”
The show, “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness,” is produced by Barack Obama. The Bobby jab reads as a shot at RFK Jr., who was named Donald Trump‘s Secretary of Health and Human Services and has spent years as a prominent anti-vaccine activist.

David and Kennedy were once close. Kennedy’s wife, Cheryl Hines, played David’s wife Cheryl across 12 seasons of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and David introduced the couple. Hines told Billy Bush last October that she and David stopped speaking after “Curb” ended, saying she thinks the friendship fell off because “Bobby’s in the administration.”

Hines is the only “Curb” cast member who hasn’t appeared in the new show.
