Maren Morris and Cassadee Pope Just Hard Launched on Instagram with a Kiss

Cassadee Pope posted the photo to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday: the two of them mid-kiss, Pope holding Morris’s face. She captioned it, “She won’t go out with you because she’s out with me, silly.”

Maren Morris came out as bisexual in June 2024 with a simple Instagram post: “Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+.” This is the first relationship she’s gone public with since.

Days earlier, Morris was in New York for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. Pope, who won The Voice in 2012 and fronted the pop-punk band Hey Monday, has been one of country music’s most outspoken LGBTQ+ allies for years. She got ordained so she could officiate same-sex weddings.

The two have known each other around Nashville for a long time. In 2022 they both spoke out against Brittany Aldean’s comments about transgender people, and their friendship goes back further than that.

Both are 36. And Pope already seems to be making plans. On another Story, she posted a photo of the two of them with the caption, “Trying to get bb to move here, everyone help.”
