A Prayer To Leave Behind What Didn’t Serve You In June
Finding peace starts with surrendering our worries to the universe and trusting that God’s guidance will meet us in the middle of our uncertainty. Best-selling author of Finding God Every Day, Rebecca Simon, reminds us to trust God’s timing, embrace patience, and lean on His presence through every season of life.
You don’t have to carry everything June gave you into July.

God,
As June closes and July begins, I don’t want to carry what didn’t belong with me into a fresh month. The habits that kept me stuck. The thoughts that kept me small. The relationships that drained more than they filled. The version of myself that was surviving instead of living. I’m leaving it all here.

I’m leaving behind the fear that kept me from stepping forward. The doubt that talked me out of what you were calling me toward. The comparison that made me feel behind. The people-pleasing that cost me my peace. The cycles I kept returning to even though I knew better. May taught me what I needed to learn. I don’t need to bring the lessons and the weight.

God, help me cross into July unburdened. Help me release what’s expired, what’s exhausted me, what’s kept me circling the same ground. Give me the courage to close June’s chapter completely — not with bitterness, but with gratitude for what it taught me and faith for what’s ahead.
July is a clean slate. And I’m stepping into it with open hands.
Amen.
