Trump Said “I Love Nicki Minaj” at a Black History Month Reception and Told the Room He’d Once Asked Her If Her Long Nails Were Real
“Her skin is so beautiful,” Trump told the room, before recounting how he’d reached for Nicki Minaj’s long nails to see if they were real.
The comments came at a Black History Month reception, where Minaj has become one of the President’s most visible celebrity backers. She attended an event with him in January and has gone on long online tirades against people who criticize him.
The reaction online was less flattering. “Creepy” showed up over and over in the responses, and it’s not the first time. In December, a holiday call with an 8-year-old girl drew similar pushback after he called her “beautiful” and “cute.”
