The Summer House Fan Theory That Even Kyle and Lindsay Believe

There’s a fan theory going around that perfectly explains West’s behavior — and Kyle and Lindsay say they believe it.

The theory says that West saw a way to get a great edit as Amanda’s white knight and stepped up to play that role.

Here’s the full quote:

“West noticed a few weekends into the summer that Amanda was looking like the victim of a horrible marriage. He realizes she may come out of this season with the fame and opportunity akin to Ariana Madix. He then decides to lean into looking like a supportive friend and hero for Amanda so he can weasel his way into capitalizing on her after-season success. New network of opportunities unlocked. You cannot convince me otherwise.”

Lindsay responded to the theory “And bingo was his name-o!”

Kyle responded “Of all the “theories” this is what I believe. Just looked back and did a rewatch of my street interview on 4/1. I discuss this very concept and refer to him trying to be a knight in shining armor and saying what women want to hear in part 3 of Adam Glyn’s videos on TikTok. He hitched his wagon to Amanda and as someone referred to it on Reddit, “White-knighted too far.”

The “too far” aspect is that West may not have expected Amanda to actually fall for him. The last thing he wants is to be locked down, but he can’t think of a way to extricate himself from the relationship without looking like the bad guy. Amanda may have info on him (like when their relationship actually started) that is “mutually assured destruction”. She could take down his reputation and blow any future he has with Bravo fans up. So he has to do whatever she wants.

I also think that Amanda is the sugar mom in her relationship with West and promised to take him to Italy after the reunion as a way to get him to go along with her lies about them having a “PG” relationship.
