One of the hardest places to be in emotionally is the space between uncertainty and clarity. When you’ve prayed. When you’ve tried to listen.
When you’ve looked for answers everywhere and still feel unsure whether you’re forcing something or truly being led toward it. And sometimes that kind of uncertainty becomes exhausting because you start questioning your own heart, and your ability to hear God clearly at all.
God,
I need you to show me a sign. Not a vague feeling or something I have to interpret. I need clarity I can’t second-guess. A sign so clear that I know it’s you and not just my own wishful thinking. I’ve been confused for too long, trying to read between the lines, wondering if I’m hearing you or just hearing what I want to hear.
So I’m asking you — show me, God. Make it obvious. Make it undeniable. If this is your will, confirm it in a way I can’t miss. If it’s not, close the door so clearly that I stop trying to reopen it. I don’t want to waste time walking down paths you never intended for me. I don’t want to miss what you’re calling me to because I couldn’t see the signs.
God, I trust that you are not a God of confusion. You don’t hide your will from people who are earnestly seeking it. So I’m asking you to speak. Show me the sign I have been praying for. And when you do, give me the courage to follow it — even if it’s not the answer I wanted.
