As May closes and June begins, I don’t want to carry the weight of last month into this new one. I’m asking you to cleanse my heart of everything l’ve been holding that doesn’t belong there anymore. The bitterness from what didn’t work out. The resentment toward people who hurt me. The disappointment from prayers that felt unanswered. The guilt from mistakes I can’t undo. I don’t want to start June carrying May’s baggage.
So I’m asking you to wash it all away. Forgive me where I’ve fallen short. Heal me where I’ve been wounded. Release me from what I’ve been clinging to that you’ve already let go of. Let me enter this new month with a heart that’s light, a spirit that’s free, and a mind that’s clear.
God, I want to start fresh. Not just on the calendar, but in my soul. Give me a clean slate. Renew my perspective. Restore my hope. Let May be different — not because my circumstances change overnight, but because my heart is finally ready to receive what you have for me.
