Derrick Levasseur Is Going To Win ‘The Traitors’ Season 3
The Traitors on Peacock is one of the best new reality shows in a long time. It has all the backstabbing of Survivor and Big Brother but it’s more light-hearted. All the drama takes place in a Scottish castle where faux-murders take place under the cover of darkness and the “faithful” players attempt to identify and banish the “traitor” players. As a bonus, the show stars iconic D-list celebrities, so there’s something for everybody.
This article contains my predictions for the third season of The Traitors with no spoilers beyond what is revealed in the first three episodes of the show, which are already available on Peacock.
I ranked the cast of the show before the first season aired as I wanted to be able to look back at my initial thoughts. Why should you care? I watch a lot of reality TV correctly guessed that Boston Rob would be the first person eliminated (though that played out as the cast simply choosing not to risk their place in the game for him, and then he was re-added to the cast through a twist). Updated with information from the first three episodes, here is my current ranking of how the players will perform from best to worst:
- Derrick Levasseur (Big Brother)
- Dolores Catania (Real Housewives of New Jersey)
- Ciara Miller (Summer House)
- Dylan Efron (Zac Efron’s brother)
- Gabby Windey (The Bachelorette)
- Boston Rob (Survivor)
- Bob Harper (The Biggest Loser)
- Nikki Garcia (WWE)
- Sam Asghari (Britney Spears’ ex-husband)
- Tom Sandoval (Vanderpump Rules)
- Danielle Reyes (Big Brother)
- Britney Haynes (Big Brother)
- Ivar Mountbatten (a British Lord)
- Caroline Wiger (Survivor)
- Chrishell Stause (Selling Sunset)
- Robyn Dixon (Real Housewives of Potomac)
- Wes Bergmann (The Real World: Austin)
- Bob the Drag Queen (RuPaul’s Drag Race)
- Jeremy Collins (Survivor)
- Tony Vlachos (Survivor) *
- Chanel Ayan (Real Housewives of Dubai) *
- Wells Adams (The Bachelorette) *
- Dorinda Medly (Real Housewives of New York City) *
*Already murdered or banished from the show
My current pick to win the game is Big Brother alum Derrick Levasseur. He was a police officer and detective before being cast on the sixteenth season of Big Brother, which he won. Levasseur showed that he is a gifted social gamer, able to form relationships, perceive when people are lying, analyze strategy and voting numbers and generally get things to go his way without looking like he’s trying too hard.
Other contestants I think have a chance to go far include Ciara Miller, Dolores Catania and Dylan Efron because generally the group of players to make it to the end of The Traitors are those that have good social skills and fly under the radar. I’d love to say Wes Bergmann will go far as he is one of my favorite players, but his reputation as a cunning strategist might be too much to overcome. I also had high hopes for Jeremy Collins, but it seems people may have his number already.
Going into this season, I expected Boston Rob, Tom Sandoval and Tony Vlachos to do the worst because of their reputations. I also thought Bob Harper might struggle because of his aggressive personality, which typically makes people a target on this show. Wells Adams’ elimination was a bit of a surprise because he doesn’t fit this mold.
Who will be eliminated next? Catch new episodes of The Traitors every Thursday on Peacock.
