I Hope You Never See Yourself Through The Lens Of Those Who Don’t Value You
There may be a lot of lessons you still need to learn about yourself and about life, but the one lesson that never fails is that you should never see yourself through the lens of those who don’t value you.

I hope you never see yourself through the lens of those who don’t value you. I hope you never have to question your worth or your kindness or your beauty just because someone was unable to see it or appreciate it. I hope you never blame yourself for the wrongdoings of others.
I hope you never let the way someone treats you shake your confidence or your self-esteem. I hope you always remember that you’ve spent years working on yourself, healing old wounds, battling old demons and getting over your self-limiting beliefs and I hope you realize that if who you are today isn’t enough for some people then they’re not the right ones for you. You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but you should always leave the table when you’re not getting what you want or what you deserve or what you’re looking for.
I hope you never let people push you into doing things you don’t want to do or staying with someone who isn’t treating you right or staying at a job you hate. I hope you don’t let their pressure stop you from following your gut or your heart or whatever your intuition is telling you to do. I hope you understand that some people will never understand your journey or where you’re coming from or what truly moves you so they’ll never be able to give you the right advice or the right direction. Sometimes you can only guide yourself because you’re the only one who knows what’s going on inside.
I hope you don’t dwell on your regrets or your past or what you should have done. I hope you learn that everything you did was exactly what you needed to do at that time so you could get to where you are today. I hope you learn that sometimes the wrong decisions eventually lead you to the right ones and your mistakes eventually teach you some hard truths you wouldn’t have learned any other way.
And last but not least, I hope you always find the courage to leave situations that no longer serve you or people who make you feel unloved or unwanted or not good enough. There may be a lot of lessons you still need to learn about yourself and about life, but the one lesson that never fails is that you should never see yourself through the lens of those who don’t value you. There’s a place out there for you and there are people out there who can appreciate everything you bring to the table and what wasn’t enough for one person will be more than enough for someone else.
